 Today we answered our warm up on paper and the question was about our experiences that mad us go crazy. After we did that we went back to the emily dickson poems and annotated them. Then it was almost time to go and we heard the speakers come on with level 2 lockdown and stuff then it came on another 3 or 4 times im convinced the principal was just pressing buttons. Then after that the fire alarm rang and we had to stand outside early in the morning for literally no reason, other than that it was amazing start to the day. :)

 Today in class we came in and we got poems by Emily Dickson. We were annotating and writing down information about who we are and how we are different from each-other. We only got to do one poem today but tomorrow we have to the second one tomorrow. It was okay Emily Dicksons poem was kind of boring but it has a good message I guess.

 The probability of life outside earth is not that much. My reaction to it is that mars is really far away from earth which is cool. The noise with that black who i would of never thought it would of sound like that. It has an eerie sound which is kind of creepy. My perspective is that the world is full of mystery’s that we don't know about   

 We turned in our stories. After we turned them in we watched a short video titled life. It was about this little puddle in the road that u couldn’t walk around, two people walked in it and then a little boy came and he grabbed rocks and set them in a path so he could walk on it then it ended. After we read and annotated a poem called We Are Cool which is basically about teenagers who skip school to go to a Pool House. 

 We didnt do anything but work on our story and that was it. 

 We watched a short film called recoiled and it was about a little girl who has troubles with her hair and doesn’t know how to handle it, she also has a little sister who has hair just like hers but its in puffs so its easier to control since shes smaller. So she watched this youtube tutorial and it teaches her about flat ironing which she does, her little sister follows what shes doing and realizes she doesn’t like her hair like that. The sister realizes that she doesn’t like her hair the way it is either and it was raining so she decided to step into the rain and her hair magically got back to a bush in a matter of seconds. It was a nice 8 minute short film👏🏾

 We watched a short film called Identity which is basically about how we hide our true selves from society that were so scared of being judged that we don’t wanna be ourselves around anyone but later we realized that we don’t need to hide and we can be ourselves.We then took notes about myths and got instructions about how what our small project is and how we had to right a story about a made up myth.

 Today we did nothing but work on our orgin myth story and explanation.  

 Today in class we watched a short film called “Last three minutes” it was actually really sad because we saw how his life was from when he was a baby all the way up till he was a janitor. The moral of this was to live life to the fullest bc u never know when you’ll take your last breathe. After the film we had to take a pre-test(alootttttt of readdinng). It was a chill day, nice and quite. I tried on the pre- test but ran out of time on the last question but I finished the others.

 We took notes on figurative language and we watched a video about a man on an elevator. The man was on an elevator with a bunch of heavy looking people and he was the only skinny person there. He looked at all of them and guessed there wait and added it all together. Then he saw this other big person coming and sprinted out the elevator. When he clicked the button for a new elevator he saw a bunch of skinny people and he looked very satisfied so he went on it. When the doors closed the people around him started to cough and sneeze and when the elevator opened again a sign marked “swine fever testing” caught his attention. The people around him stepped out. After we watched that we took notes.

 We watched a short film which was kinda confusing at first but when explained it was understandable. I honestly forgot what we did after that but i think we were writing something. This class is fun when everyone talks and just states there opinions. The work is easy for now. We took notes yesterday I believe. I forgot on what but yeah.

 Today in class we watched a Ted Talk and discussed it after words. It was a pretty chill day today, it was kind of boring but it was peaceful and calm. After the ted talk we got a poem by Langston hughes. I forgot the title but we discussed that too. I may or may not have fallen asleep during that part…but I still caught some stuff at the end. I hope tomorrow can be chill and peaceful as it was today. 

 i learned informal and formal writing. I can apply this to my life by being formal with adults no matter who they are and being informal with people my age(mostly my friends). Its really east to remember informal and formal writing so I think I should be good if we have to do an assignment about it again.

 Hello my name is Tijahane. I go to Cedar Grove High School. I am 16 years old and Im from Jamaica. What I like to do for fun is sing and dance. My three goals this year is to try and get all A’s, get a good gpa so I can apply for some good colleges, and get good scholarships.
